1. Purpose
Intek Websites provides websites, hosting, email and web systems for legitimate businesses, organisations, professionals and projects. This Acceptable Use Policy protects customers, infrastructure, service providers and the public from harmful or abusive use.
2. Prohibited activity
You must not use the service to:
- Commit or facilitate fraud, impersonation, deception, theft or other unlawful activity.
- Operate phishing pages, credential-harvesting schemes, malware, ransomware, botnets or unauthorised remote-access tools.
- Attack, scan, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or networks.
- Publish or distribute content where doing so is unlawful, defamatory, infringing or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the service to evade sanctions, court orders, law-enforcement requirements or binding provider restrictions.
- Interfere with other customers or degrade shared infrastructure through deliberate or unreasonable abuse.
3. Customer content and intellectual property
You are responsible for content you supply or publish and for obtaining the necessary rights to use trademarks, photographs, videos, fonts, software, databases, product information and other material. We may ask for proof of authorisation where a complaint or material risk arises.
We may remove or disable content where we reasonably believe this is required by law, a valid rights complaint, a provider obligation or an urgent security concern.
4. Security and account access
You must keep passwords, administrator links, email credentials, API keys and other access information secure. Do not intentionally bypass security controls, rate limits or authentication requirements.
If your site is compromised or used to distribute malware/spam, we may temporarily isolate, disable or restore affected components while the incident is investigated.
5. Email, forms, SMS and messaging
Do not use website forms, corporate email or integrated messaging tools for unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, harassment, deceptive promotions or unlawful data collection. Where you contact customers or collect personal data, you are responsible for ensuring your own business practices comply with applicable privacy, marketing and communications requirements.
6. Fair and reasonable resource use
Subscription pricing assumes ordinary use consistent with the selected plan. Activities that create unusually high storage, CPU, memory, bandwidth, database, email or support demand may require optimisation, an upgraded plan or separately priced infrastructure.
Nexus Systems is not an unlimited compute or development plan. High-volume transactions, media streaming, large datasets, heavy automation or other resource-intensive workloads may require a custom infrastructure quote.
7. Payment, regulated and sensitive activities
If your website processes payments, health information, children's information, financial services, regulated goods/services or other sensitive activity, you are responsible for obtaining required licences, disclosures, consents and compliance measures. We may require additional verification or decline a project where the legal, security or provider risk is outside the service we can reasonably support.
8. Investigation, suspension and termination
If we reasonably suspect a breach, we may investigate, ask for information, restrict a feature, remove specific content, suspend access or terminate the affected service. Where appropriate and safe, we will try to give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Urgent action may be taken without prior notice where necessary to address security incidents, fraud, unlawful activity, provider demands or material risk to other users or infrastructure.
Serious or repeated violations may result in termination without restoration, subject to applicable law and the Terms of Service.
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy, and billing/cancellations are addressed in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
